1. Academic Integrity & Scholar Responsibility

ProsePen is engineered as an advanced editorial copilot, stylometric analysis tool, and dissertation formatting engine. Our software assists researchers, postgraduate candidates, undergraduate students, and faculty members in refining scholarly tone, organizing citations, checking originality, and eliminating grammatical discrepancies.

Ethical Use Obligation:You remain solely responsible for adhering to the ethical research guidelines, university examination regulations, and publisher policies of your academic institution. You agree never to submit unvetted machine output where independent critical reflection is required.

2. Intellectual Property & Content Rights

You retain ownership of the original text and content you submit to ProsePen.

You own the rights to the academic manuscripts, chapters, and creative drafts you create.
To operate and continuously optimize our editorial systems, you grant ProsePen a non-exclusive, worldwide license to process, analyze, and store your inputs and generated outputs solely for the purposes of delivering services, improving automated models and linguistic features, and safeguarding system security.
We do not sell your personal manuscripts to commercial data brokers.

3. Coin Metering & Rollover Policy

ProsePen operates on a fair, transparent word-for-word metered billing model:

Priced before you run it

Writing and rewriting tools debit coins by the word delivered, and whole-document checks debit a small fixed amount. The price is shown on the button before you run anything. If an engine returns 450 words when you budgeted 500, you are billed only for the 450 delivered. The current rates are listed in your dashboard under “How coins are charged”.

Rollover Guarantee

Unused coins roll over and do not expire as long as your subscription or top-up account remains active.

30-Minute Free Revision Grace Window

Shortly after running a generation job (the window and the number of free redos are shown in your dashboard), revisions or tone adjustments on that exact same text cost 0 Coins. You are never double-charged for polishing output you already paid to generate.

4. Device Protection & Concurrency Limits

To prevent password reselling and bot pooling, each plan is allocated a specific number of simultaneous active devices:

Single / Sprint: 1 active device.
Pro Scholar: 2 active devices (PC + Mobile/Tablet).
Academic Master: 4 active devices (Study Group seat sharing).
Research Team / Lab: Up to 10 active devices.

Spotify-Style Zero Lockout Guarantee: If you switch devices (for instance, opening ProsePen on your mobile phone while your laptop is on), your active generation rights transfer automatically. The inactive device yields gracefully with a notice, so genuine scholars are never locked out of their work.

5. Subscriptions, Payments & Refund Policy

Payments are processed securely in Nigerian Naira (NGN) via Paystack or verified manual bank transfer.

Renewal & Cancellation: You can manage or cancel recurring billing anytime from your Scholar Dashboard. Access continues until the end of your billing cycle.
Refunds: If you encounter technical discrepancies or service failure, contact our support desk at yourwriteroficial@gmail.com within 7 days of purchase for a prompt review and refund.

6. Prohibited Activities

Users may not:

Employ automated scraping scripts, denial-of-service floods, or unauthorized reverse-engineering against our APIs.
Resell or publicly proxy personal developer API keys (pp_live_...).
Generate abusive, harassing, defamatory, or unlawful material.
